Acommodation in Playa Del Carmen?

Hi everyone! My husband and are are seriously on the lookout for our next holiday, and we are looking for some great place to enjoy a holiday in Mexico. Playa del Carmen looks attractive. I have seen that there are quite a few people that have been to the area on this forum, and I am therefore kind of hoping that you will be able tot tell me more about the kind of accommodation available there.
