After years of traveling Ive decided to go to Dominican Republic, to Puerto Plata with my family - my wife and two 7yr old twins. My experience has taught me always to take all-inclusive especially because of the kids. The only problem is that travel agents in my town offer only one hotel Occidental Grand Flamenco. By the pictures I can see that its quite good, but you can never guess how it really looks like. So, I would be really grateful if I could have some tips from someone whos been there.

Dont even think of taking your children to this terrible hotel! Even in my wildest dreams, even if its the only one in DR, I still wouldnt go there again. Ive heard of 5 star hotels in Turkey; all inclusive really pays off there. You dont need anything that the hotel doesnt have. Long sandy beaches are the only thing in common. As for other things, Occidental is a disaster, starting from the staff. Such scenery you cant see on the pictures! At least three things I can remember didnt work or were broken. The fridge which doesnt cool, oven which is out of order, broken mirror in the toilet and alike are the things I encountered. As for the food, if you want to eat bread and butter only, then go ahead. Im seriously advising you to avoid this hotel.
