Any luxury hotel in Liberia, Costa Rica?

My girlfriend and I are thinking about going to Liberia, Costa Rica this summer. We have already agreed that it is going to be Costa Rica anyway, so the only question is where now. Please tell me if there are any luxury hotels in Liberia? That would make our decision a bit easier.

If you like the idea of an all inclusive resort, then I have only one recommendation for you! This is the Sol Resort Papagayo which is a truly wonderful resort! All your trips are easily organized from there and I am sure you are going to have a great time there!

I prefer something a little more classic myself, and my husband and I ended up staying at the Hotel Hacienda Guachipelin last summer. This is located near the Rincon de la Vieja National Park, ensuring stunning views. And because the hotel has been round for what seems like forever, it has got that old style glamour that is so difficult to find now.

You have a good point there - it depends on the location as well! But there are not all that many options around Liberia when it comes to real luxury hotels, especially if you want to avoid the chains like I do. I am sure that there will be more decent hotels emerging over the next few years though!
