Any pet friendly hotel or hostel in Revelstoke?

My friend seems to be delighted with British Columbia. He spent two weeks there last year and he keeps talking about it all the time. I feel as if I know the province although I have never been there. But that is about to change. Is there any pet friendly hotel or hostel in Revelstoke? I can’t go anywhere without my Rex.

There are several good places to stay in Revelstoke which are pet friendly. Glacier House Hotel & Resort is really quiet place situated far from the CPR Train tracks and the Trans Canada Highway. The hotel has also individual chalets with nice bathrooms, satellite TV, kitchenettes and other amenities. Chalets 110 and 105 are labeled “pet friendly”.

There is also a wonderful, luxury place called The Hillcrest Hotel, a Coast Resort where your friendly companion is as welcome as any other guest. It is a great place to enjoy various activities during both, winter and summer: snowboarding, heli-skiing and hiking. The Hotel Association of Canada awarded 3 Green Key rating to this hotel.

I mean no offence, but why do people have to take their pets everywhere? If you are traveling half a world round, isn’t it much better to leave them at somebody’s house and pick them up upon your return? I can’t imagine taking some cat or dog through numerous airports, harbors, hotels, lodges, etc. It doesn’t make any sense…
