Anyone done the Aleppo to Beirut bus ride?

I am going Middle East small tour, going to Lebanon and Syria. I have to see a friend in Aleppo, Syria but then I thought to go to Beirut, Lebanon by taking a bus. Has anyone done this tour? Is it ok and safe? Give me your opinion how nuts I am?

Well I dont know why won't be safe, am I missing something? I just think it is not a comfy ride. Usually people are passing that destination by plane, even the train is not recommendable takes too long. But if you are willing to go that way you have buses from Aleppo to Beirut for 300 SYP. The ride will last for 6 - 7 hours depends on how lucky you are. And if you want comfy then maybe could try Serraj Bus Company.
