Are cheap hotels in the Dominican Republic safe?

Based on my little research on the internet, I managed to find out that there are hotels in Dominican Republic which are so cheap, that I find it hard to believe! So, what I would like to know is if there is somebody who might know if there is a catch, and if they are safe to stay at?

Well, don’t get me wrong, but do you really have to choose some of the cheapest hotels in Dominican Republic? Again, I know it is not my problem, but being a female, I think that it only means that you have to be extra careful, and avoid traps of this kind.

I hope you won’t misunderstand me, because it is not that I intend to convince you otherwise, but if they are cheap, it probably means that you will not get too much of comfort there. So, if you are ready for something like that, then all I can tell you is to go ahead…

My advice would be to avoid these cheap arrangements when it comes to Dominican Republic, because most likely they will include even less then they are said to include, or the location will be very…well, let’s just say unattractive. So, either you find a decent hotel or place to stay, or give up the idea of traveling to this country until you collect more money.
