Yesterday I heard something disturbing. There is actually avalanche hazard on a path that leads to the Blackcomb Peak. I have hiked there few years ago and it wasn’t bad at all. There was no sign of avalanches or any other dangers. So does anyone want to share their opinion about this?

Well I guess that is only a natural progression. Too bad really. It was a great hike up to the peak. I never thought that it would become so bad that there is avalanche hazard now. I would want to climb to the peak at least one more time but I guess that is not happening soon.

Yes I heard about that. It is really too bad. But hazard is a hazard. You can’t mess with that. If you do plan to hike up the Blackcomb Peak bring someone with you that is an avalanche expert or something. But if I were you I wouldn’t even try to hike to the top.

That is unfortunate. I hiked on that exact path that is now closed many times. I know the whole path by heart, like I know how to go to supermarket or something. I actually heard that there was an avalanche in the past, but since then nothing. Really too bad. I hope things will change in the future.
