Bus from Puno to Arequipa

Does anybody know if there is any bus transport from Puno to Areguipa? I am located in Cuzco now for I am staying here with some archeologists but two of us are about to visit Titicaca Lake these days and we will be staying at Puno. Anyway we are planning on going to Areguipa afterwards so I am curious now if there is a bus from Puno to Areguipa? Thanks!

Sure there are many buses going from Puno to Areguipa but I suggest you better take the night bus for I once traveled with bus from Puno to Areguipa and it was really hot and I was seek all the trip for the hot whether. Anyway there is no problem getting a ticket or finding a bus from Puno to Areguipa organized by almost each company there and it is about 280 km to travel so it won’t take longer than 6 hours.

I would like to know if you could give the name of the company that does Puno to Arequipa during the night. I have been checkin "Cruz del Sur" and few others and they leave Puno at 15:00
