Can a 12 year old kid attend the Chiriqui River rafting?

My wife and I applied for Chiriqui river rafting. At first, we thought that our 12 year old kid shouldn’t go with us, but now it seems to me that it would be a good idea to take her for a tour, too. While there is still time to book a place for her, I am asking you: Can our kid attend Chiriqui River rafting?

You can listen to our advice but do what you think is the best for your kid. I don’t know what kind of girl she is. If she is shy and passive, maybe she wouldn’t like it and she even could be scared of it. If she is dynamic, she might like it. You know your child best and you should talk to her. She is old enough and she can tell you if she would like to go or not.

I wouldn’t listen to the kid. How can a 12 year old kid know a thing about life? Maybe she’d say ‘yes’, but how can we expect that the girl of 12 can know what’s best for her? Maybe she can decide what she likes and what she dislikes but does she have that level of self-consciousness as to decide what is dangerous for her and what is not? I think that river rafting is not the best idea for a kid of 12, especially the one in Chiriqui River which is extremely dangerous even for some experienced adults, not to mention kids.
