Hi, I was wondering is it possible to enter Mexico without anyone checking your passport. This country is pretty fascinating and I've heard a lot of stories from other people on this matter but I wasn't able to come to a conclusion. I would like to visit Mexico some day so I'm really interested about all the details about this country.

Hello, it is possible to cross the US Mexican border without anyone checking your passport or, for that matter, even seeing anyone from the customs. There is a long area on the border that is not protected so anyone can pass. It is well known that the Mexican border is problematic because of the illegal crossings. But if you cross the border from the US to Mexico without going through customs, you are risking a lot. If you plan on exiting Mexico you will be asked to show your passport so it could be seen how and when have you entered the country. Another thing that is important is the tourist card which you have to purchase upon you arrival or even when entering the country. If you don't have a tourist card and you want to leave the country you'll be in trouble. You'll probably have to pay a fine or something similar.
