Can you suggest inexpensive hotels in Chicago downtown?

I am photographer who specialize in taking photos of downtowns. For me it is an evidence of industrial development of human kind. It is so great when you catch the speed which is present in everyday life in a frame. Now I am planning to visit Chicago and take some shots of its downtown life. Can you suggest inexpensive hotels in Chicago downtown?

I always admired such kind of art. I consider it very practical because it makes you wander. You surely can get some great shots in Chicago. About the hotel I can suggest Red Roof Inn. The location is never better: right off the Magnificent Mile. In that neighborhood other hotels would cost you tree times as much. The rooms are small but as you will be doing your job outside it would not be a inconvenience. You even get a free coffee in the morning. I would be very happy if I can see your shots after you have done it. I am sure that Chicago can provide glamour but some bad staff too. It is so exciting.
