Can you use a subway from airport to the Mexico City?

Can you use a subway from airport to the Mexico City? I want to know because I am used to traveling with subways, and I dont mind crowd. Why to pay taxi when you can go with metro that is much cheaper? That way you can also miss traffic crowd, so you will arrive faster in Mexico City. Any advice is welcomed.

You are right about metro. Subway is much cheaper and faster way for traveling. I like to use subway also. Taxis are so much expensive. Some of them have special prices for tourists, and they like to use longer way to the Mexico City. Subway is couple minutes of walk But, I really think that is smarter to go with the taxi. There is a large wave of crime, especially in subways. So, it is not safe, specially for tourists to use it. I can suggest you other thing. There is a stand with cheap taxis. You can ask employees there to tell you where you can find them. And it is much safer way to travel.

I took the subway from MEX to the bus station in the south of the city at night last year. Never even thought twice about safety.
