Cheap flights from La Paz to Santiago?

I am now in La Paz and am supposed to reach Santiago in Chile by Sunday and would great appreciate if someone tells me what is the cheap flight opt from La Paz to Santiago and would it cost me more than 1000$? And one more thing is it true that it is impossible having a direct flight from La Paz to Santiago these days? Thanks much!

Well I don’t know how cheap this flight from La Paz to Santiago needs to be but I just got here two days ago and had the cheapest opt involving the economy class by the total price of about 1550$ for return trip but I had a round trip for we first landed at Lima where we changed aircraft so from LAN I got into Copa Airlines and I waited about 6 hours to keep on with flight and finally after almost 12 hours of flight I reached Santiago-too much of flight for this money you would say but if you want your trip to be safe and fast that you take a flight and this is the cheapest flight opt from La Paz to Santiago I have managed to work out.
