Contraband on board

I am about to have my first cruise experience and I will be cruising around eastern and south Caribbean islands for about 12 days. And though I am so impatient on this cruise to start I started thinking of its safety, I mean -cruising the Caribbean makes me somehow think of the pirates though I hope there arent ones but do you think that contraband on board is possible on cruise ships todays. it is just that I have red something about some contraband situation on board recently and to be honest I am worried about this much especially regarding the fact that Colombia is very near.

He he contraband on board-I dont think so and especially this idea of pirates there ridiculous so the way I see it there is nothing of that sort to worry about on your cruise. The worse that could happen is if someone manages to contraband some alcohol but it usually ends up discovered and than the alcohol is confiscated. I mean it is been for more than 12 years I am cruising and I even had more than 5 Caribbean cruises and I never witnessed no contraband on board and the worst thing that has happened to me on those cruises was when I got overcharged by steward.
