Did you need a 4x4 vehicle in CR???

Did you need a 4x4 vehicle in CR??? My husband keeps telling me that we should rent a 4x4 vehicle for Costa Rica sightseeing and I don't think that is necessary. I do admit that we will go into jungle some, but those roads are well done. I saw it on TV. Do you think I should listen to my husband or not?

Never listen to any husband and you will do well in life. That is what my mother told me, but I am not sure you should listen to her in this case. It all depends if you are going there during rainy season. If you are going to Costa Rica then, I think you should forget 4x4 vehicle and get a boat. On the other hand you can do just well whit any other vehicle. I don't like 4x4 in Latin America, because it is like you are wearing an American flag everywhere you go and sometimes that might get pretty ugly.
