Hello, for a long time now I have wanted to go and visit Mexico. I have never visited Mexico before so the first time i go there I want it to be thorough. I would like to visit all the major attraction sights. I know that when entering Mexico you don't need a visa but you do need a tourist card. I'm especially interested in knowing whether I'll be needing a tourist card when going to Ensenada?

Hello, I know there are all sorts of mixed up information on this subject. It would be logical if for all places in Mexico one would require a tourist card. This is not the case I'm afraid. For some of Mexico's regions you won't need the tourist card and this is a relief because it can be a drag getting one. Most places that don't require tourists having those cards are the areas near the border. This is the case if you are traveling by car or by bus. On the other hand if you plan on getting there by plane you will get a tourist card while purchasing your plane ticket. If you go by plane you will certainly end up with one in your pocket. It is a great feeling to be able to travel without visas or passport stamps and when you don't even require a tourist card it's like a dream. Have a nice trip.
