Can anybody tell me what is the dressing code for the Royal Opera? I know that you cant walk in wearing tennis shoes, but I heard that different attire have to be proper length also. For example skirts. I wish to go to the Royal Opera and that is why I need to know how should I dress.

I would say that it all depends on where you are seated. If you are in the front row then you should dress formal, like suit or tie, and if you have cheaoer seats in the back then don't worry about having a tie. And as far as skirts are conserend then it really does depend on the shape of your legs. It is not like it used to be and dress code is not as strict as it was. Just don't go in your tennis shoes and you will be just fine. Hope you will have better time, then I had last time I went to see Don Giovanni at the English National Opera.
