Driving from Monteverde to Tamarindo?

I am going to Costa Rica in two weeks with my girlfriend. I am really looking forward to this trip. I am not the type of guy that likes to be in one place. So, I am thinking about renting a car and exploring the surroundings. What do you think about Driving from Monteverde to Tamarindo? Is it a good idea? Thank you in advance.

Ah, Costa Rica , the paradise on the earth. I was there 2 years ago, and I had magical time. I met one girl, and we spent whole vacation together. I am also not the type of guy that wants to be on one place whole vacation. It is really boring. But this girl had a car and we explored the surroundings together. I am not sure if you can rent a car there. I think that it is not legal. You can always meet a girl. I am just kidding. I hope tat your girlfriend wont be made because of my joke. You can try to rent a car. Driving from Monteverde to Tamarindo is not very long drive. It last about 4 hours. I wish you to have nice time there.
