Eastern Med. excursions--1st timer

Hello! I am a first timer cruiser or at least this is what my plans are for this summer. I actually have a friend there living in Rome and I was thinking something on having some Eastern Med. Excursions cruise. Anyway I remember I have heard some nice stories about that Costa cruising so I am interested in having some Eastern Med. excursions this would be my 1st time eastern Mediterranean visit but I have red a lot of books on this issue and that is why I would like cruising there. I just need some good suggestion about what cruising opts to choose.

If you prefer cruising with Costa ships I suggest you choose Eastern Med. Cruising with Costa Magica. First of all their ships are great and so Italian in style you could choose their between all the variety of Italian cuisine, the cabins are perfect but I suggest you choose outside one for those outside cabins has its own balcony each. Anyway as for this eastern Med. Excursions cruising is not starting from Rome for its departing site is Venice-so I guess you could have a flight from Rome first though traveling with train all the way to the north of Italy is quite an experience. Anyway your eastern Med. Cruising with Costa Magica would start in Venice and you flow along the shores of Adriatic coast stopping by at Dubrovnik first which is a pretty nice town of Croatia cost dont worry the war is over there and everything seems pretty much ok. Then you head toward Bari but honestly there is not too much to see in this southern Italian city. But then you head the Greece and you are about to visit there all those beautiful Greek sites such as Olimpya, involving also some of these beautiful Greek islands such as Santorini there you have black sand beaches fir the whole island is of volcanic origin and you also visit Rhodos and Mykonos. And I guess this Eastern Med. Excursions are just the perfect choice for the 1st timer cruisers. Anyway those shore excursions are extra charged meaning that the cruise booking price doesnt involve those excursion price also.
