Egypt Travel Tips

Hi, there. I am planning a trip to Egypt this autumn. I must say that I am very excited since this will be my first time visit to any African state. I was hoping to get here some travel tips. I would like to ask you for honest tips since I would like to create some picture before my arrival there. Thanks in advance, guys.

Hello, there. Well first, if you want to get to Egypt, you must get visa. It costs $15 and you can ask about it in the nearest Egyptian Embassy. The Egyptian currency is Egyptian pound or LE (Livre Egyptienne). 1 LE has 100 piaster. The last I have heard, 1 dollar is 6.2 LE. The electricity is 220 Volts and 50 Hz. North Americans should bring adapters. Cairo Airport is away from the centre of the city about 45 minutes drive. If you take EgyptAir flight, you will arrive at Terminal One. In other case, youll arrive to Terminal Two. I dont advise you to take a tour on your own since you are a first time traveller. I strongly suggest you to take an organized tour.
