I know this will sound strange but I am going to Iran for some conference. Not very happy with this trip but there it goes. Because I am honestly clueless when it comes to this country I need some general info, like how the electric plugs function there, what voltage rules in Iran. I honestly dont want to ruin my stuffs there, going completely unprepared.

Ah I hate those voltage differences, different electric plugs and sockets. I had the same problem in Beijing, especially with buying an Ipod, guess what bought wrong one. Luckily I realized that I am using the same for my mobile so now I am switching from one to another when I want to charge any of those two. When it comes to your issue in the Iran they are using often the same connector as in Germany, voltage is 220w, frequency 50 Hz and when it comes to plugs they use type C and F.
