Ethiopia airline woes

I've got this unique experience to share with you! I've just been to Ethiopia and the trip was really great... Apart from my ordeal at the beginning of the journey, that is! I had decided to book a trip with Ethiopia airlines. Which was great, only they put Mr on my ticket instead of Mrs, and then when I got to check in told me that they couldn't let me on the plane because I obviously was no Mr. To be honest, I hadn't even noticed this, and the rest of my name was clearly stated on the ticket! I solved it in the end but it caused a fright. The tickets were not cheap neither was the rest of my trip, some of which I had already paid for... I can tell you that I will never be flying with Ethiopia airlines again!

That sounds really ridiculous! I do hope that you at least demanded, and received, some compensation. A free flight the next time round sounds a bit undesirable in this case but you should obviously have received something! I didn't know that people could still make those mistakes and react that stupidly these days!

I really feel for you there! I can actually imagine your frustration in great details as you stood at check in trying to convince them it was their mistake, and you hadn't had a sex change or something... I'd be really angry too. But mistakes can happen, and I am glad you had a nice time in Ethiopia apart from that incident!
