Hey, there! I am interested in going to Point Barrow in Alaska and I don’t know how to get there. Actually I will come to the city of Barrow and then I don’t know how to proceed from there. I was thinking about ferries but I am not sure that it is possible to get there by sea. Can anyone tell me if this is possible or not?

I think that it is not possible at all to get to Point Barrow by ferry. Although Alaska has the Alaska Marine Highway ferry system, it operates on different routes. You cannot go to Point Barrow by their ferries. They go to the Southeast cities, the Alaska Peninsula and the Gulf Coast. Point Barrow is accessible by air so you can go there by a plane or a helicopter. I think that it would be better for you to go there by plane anyway.

I don’t think that you can get to Pint Barrow by ferries. The place is accessible only by air I guess. The sea in not navigable and therefore the best solution for coming to Point Barrow is by air. There is a ferry system developed in Alaska but there are no routes leading to Point Barrow. I can’t imagine why you would want to go there anyway. There is nothing much to see apart from whalebones. It is known as the top of the world but I wouldn’t like to go there anyway.

Point Barrow is the northernmost part of the United States, near the North Pole and it is often called the Top of the World. I think that this place is accessible only by air. There are flights from Fairbanks that can take you there. There are barges too but since the water is always covered with ice, they cannot flow and cannot be used. I would suggest a plane or a helicopter because it is the fastest and the safest way to get there.
