Can you help me out? I am so happy! For my 60th birthday I received a fabulous present from my children: a travel voucher for a trip to Afica... Kenya and the Victoria Falls! This will be my first time after having heard so much about it and read so many news stories and travel accounts. Any suggestions?

First of all congratulations are in order. Secondly, I wish I had as many and as generous children as yours! Kenya is great and its tourism infrastructure very well developed. After a one day/one night transit in Nairobi at the historic and typically eastern African colonial style Norfolk hotel, go down to Amboseli National Park, a highlands environment fairly close to the Kilimandjaro and the border with Tanzania. From there, hop further down to the coast, to Malindi or better still, to Lamu, for some Indian Ocean experience and game fishing. After that, "The Falls" via Lusaka. Try to stay at the old Victoria hotel, typical turn of the century (XIXth that is) style and relax for a few days before heading back to "sunny England"!

Thanks for this information... One friend I know really wanted to spend at least 3 months in Kenya. She searched on the internet and read about being a volunteer overseas in Kenya and planned to do that for at least 3 months and if she liked it, she would stay longer. Her English was not that good so she first followed a sprachkurs of English for 3 weeks and came back with almost fluently spoken English. Now she's getting ready and very excited for her volunteer work in Kenya!
He is asking for a great things to do in Kenya and love to hear it from people who have been to Kenya already. The you posted help!

Congratulation for wonderful gift, I’d like to suggest one thing when you visiting Kenya. Try to visit Nairobi which is better destination comparing to other because it is a place of huge energy a determined and successful activities of people.

Kenyatta Avenue is the city favorite visitor’s image. You can find the number of museums and places over there especially National Museum and Snake Park.
