I would like to go to Australia but I don't know how its air transport system is organized. I haven't yet decided which city to choose as an arrival place. I think of Sydney and Melbourne, but I'm not sure if they both have airports. Is there a direct air line from Frankfurt to any of the Australian cities or would I have to change the plane?

Oh, don't worry! Almost every city in Australia has an airport. Apart from the licensed ones, there are also private airports. Australia is divided into regions such as South Australia, Queensland, New South Wales, Northern Territory and each of them has its capital. Sydney and Melbourne are among the largest cities in Australia, so they do have airports. I am not sure if both of them fly directly to Frankfurt and back, but you can check it with the airport customer service. However, there is a direct Munich Sydney route, so it would be better to come from Frankfurt to Munich and then directly to Australia than changing planes along the way.
