Hotels in Cairns Area?

Hello. I am going to visit the Cairns area in Australia next month and I am hoping you can give me some information. I have not booked a hotel yet, I am wondering about two things. I would like to find a nice four star hotel where I will really be able to relax. But the location too, has to be ok, and I would like to be able to get around very easily from the hotel. Any suggestions?

Hi. We stayed at the Southern Cross Atrium Apartments in Cairns last year and we were very pleased indeed. The apartments are very close to the railway station and all the tourists we spoke to found the location excellent. The facilities at Southern Cross include swimming pools and a spa center, as well as restaurants. Everything you could wish for is there!
