How far is Manly Beach from Sidney? I have heard many great things about this beach, and I would really like to visit it during my stay in Sydney. Now, since I will stay for just a week, I would really like to know how much it will take me to go there, and what is the easiest way. Thanks a lot

Hello there. You won’t need a lot of time to get to Manly beach, since it is just 7 miles away from Sydney. I would suggest you to use Manly Ferry service; it is the best option in my opinion. Maybe it is not the fastest one, I think it is faster to get there by bus, but it is the most pleasant one, and the most picturesque. The ferry goes on every half an hour, and it lasts from 25 to 30 minutes approximately. The ride is not expensive at all, it is somewhere around 6 $. When on Manly Beach , it is the best to use bike so you could reach all the attraction.

Well, as I have heard they also have a new fast ferry. It takes this new ferry only 15 minutes to get from Sidney to Manly Beach.
Also you have a water taxi, but I haven't tried this one, because it is a little expensive for my pocket. Smile But it shore looks very nice Smile They are very good for site seeing, if you want to have a tour a round the coast.

I don't know if anybody here has tried it?

Manly Beach is seven miles from Sydney and a thousand miles from care.

Manly Beach is about one mile long with a large foreshore and golden sands. The northern end is called Queenscliff Beach which has a lagoon estuary that empties into the ocean. It is quieter than Manly and is used mainly by the locals. There is an ocean pool and a tunnel, which was once chiseled out by local fishermen as a short cut to Freshwater Beach. The Centre is called North Steyne Beach and the southern corner South Steyne. Next to Manly Beach is Cabbage Tree Bay and Shelley Beach.
