How far is Poughkeepsie, NY from Stewart International Airport?

What I would like to find out is how far (exactly) Poughkeepsie is from Stewart National Airport, because I should choose where I will stay as soon as possible, and I have never been to Poughkeepsie before. My plane will land at this airport, and from there I should proceed to this city.

Well, technically, based on what I got to read about it, Stewart International Airport is said to be the closest international airport to Poughkeepsie, but I really do not know what exactly it means, since I haven’t managed to find any more precise information. Anyway, I really hope that somebody else will be of more help than I was.

I really do not think that there is more than an hour drive from Poughkeepsie to Stewart International Airport. If you are interested in the ways in which you can cross that distance, I know that you have taxi and metro (provided you don’t get there too late at night) as your main options.

All I can tell you is that it is not far away. An hour of driving at top, but I honestly cannot be more precise, since it has been more than a while from the time I was there. If it is so important to you, I can ask my friend, but no matter what the distance is, I think that taxi will be the best way to get from the airport to Poughkeepsie, if there is nobody to wait for you.
