How far is Radium Hot Springs from Calgary?

Does anyone know how far is Radium Hot Springs from Calgary? I am planning a trip there and I couldn’t decide whether I should take a bus, or just drive there. Too bad I cant just teleport there or something. Well if anyone knows how far are those two places apart, any information will be appreciated.

Hello mate. I’ve always traveled there with a bus. I never watched how much time I need to get there. If I am not listening to some music and reading a book, I am sleeping. Time just flies by you when you are traveling like that. You should try it if you travel with a bus.

Actually it’s fairly close. Last time I drove there, I needed three and a half hours to get there. I wasn’t in a rush so I wanted to enjoy the drive. I have to say that this drive is exciting all the way, and you could see a lot of things if you look around closely enough.

If you were looking for the actual distance, it should be 162 miles…give or take a mile of course. But 3 ½ hours sounds reasonable. It depends on your driving of course. You could get there a lot sooner if you drove your car 100 mph, but I strongly recommend you DON’T do that.

This is one of my favorite drives ever...I don't live in Calgary anymore but it's about 162 miles - about 3 1/2 hrs. of driving. This is a wonderful way to see this area. I would suggest doing a loop and going to Fernie B.C. from Radium the next day - that is an additional 137 miles, but well worth it.
