How safe is Bali? Terrorism and bird flue?

My husband wants us to go to Bali but Im not so thrilled about that idea. I remember that dreadful terrorist attack a couple of years ago, when many people were killed. Besides, there are still cases of bird flu in Asia and I really dont want to spend my vacation worrying whether a bomb will blow us to pieces or I will contract a horrible disease. What do you think?

I think that youre a grumpy drama queen and a hypochondriac. You can be run over by a car in front of your house while going to a grocery store. I mean, theres no safe place on earth from your point of view, so its better to spend your last days on a splendid beach than in your boring hometown Anyway, youre exaggerating because Bali is one of the most famous tourist resorts so the authorities have done much to improve safety measures. Millions of people visit this place throughout eh whole year and one accident in a few years is not the reason for avoiding it. As for the bird flu, it has reached Europe also and I dont see how Bali is a more dangerous place.

I went in September and am going back in March. I felt perfectly safe, but then I don't hang around in the nightclubs.
