How safe is for a Single Woman to travel to bangladesh?

Hi, how safe is it for a single women to travel to bangladesh? I am planning my visit soon, but I heard some very disturbing stories. What vaccinates should I take? Are bangladesh men violent towards young single women? Do I need to take some precautions and what should I avoid?

Well, I know that if you travel to Bangladesh you should vaccinate to Hepatitis A, Typhoid, Yellow fever etc... I wouldn't recommend you to go there if you are pregnant; they say there are often outbreaks of Hepatits E in Bangladesh (as in other countries such as Avganistan, Burma, China, Indonesia...), which can cause some severe damages to your baby. As for the Bangladesh men, I don't think they will do you wrong, just remember to keep away from small, dark streets and try to keep a low profile.
