I hated the security at the Venetian?

Last month I went to holiday in Vegas and stayed at Venetian. Before that, I heard a lot of great things about it from the people I trust. However, when I got there, I did not have such a great time. Although I had nice time riding in gondolas and visiting various shows, I had the problem with security. Although many people say they feel safe, I always had an impression of being constantly watched, so I could never completely relax. Is it just me, or did someone else had the same impression?

My experience with the security is exactly the same. They were not too courteous, nor too helpful. Yet they were always there, and there were always too many of them. Moreover, I had some close encounters with them that were very embarrassing. I was lost somewhere in the hotel, which is not so odd, as it is very big. However, when I asked security for some directions, they were not polite at all, and almost seemed to enjoy asking me questions such as how did an manage to get lost, why I cant find the way on my own, and one officer even told me that its not so bad to get lost, as I can explore the hotel. I was already feeling a little uncomfortable getting lost, and all they did was to worsen the feeling. They did help me in the end, but I think they could have a little more sympathy. I agree that there are much more people who are feeling great with all that security officers being around them, but that just did not work for me. I guess I wont come back to that hotel either.
