Next week Im going to Bangkok with my family. Theyre very stubborn and picky people and wherever we went together, they somehow managed to spoil all the fun. A chance to visit Bangkok wont happen to me again, and Id like to have fun there. Tell me the places I shouldnt miss visiting. I hope I will manage to have fun in Bangkok.

Ouch! A family holiday! My sympathies. Instead of relaxing and enjoying the beautiful environment, I spent my family holidays arguing with my parents and siblings. When you get there send your parents to some of the numerous markets and bazaars and youll have a day on your own, and the old folks will certainly have fun there. As you know Bangkok is called Venice of the East because of the canals that intersect through the city. Take a boat tour and see the city from the canals. My suggestion would be not to use the public ferry but a private taxi boat. Bangkok has a rich and vibrant nightlife, and just stroll along its main streets and avenues and find a bar that suits you. There are many historic and religious monuments and Buddhist temples. Temple of Dawn or the Grand Temple are some of those you must visit.

Bangkok is very nice trough the day and night. For day activities the canals are the best option. You can go almost anywhere with them. And it's pretty interesting going around the city in a bout. Smile
A night time has a lot of alternatives, it depends what do you want. From discotheques, bars, pubs, and cocktail lounge.
Royal City Avenue is one of the most famous places in Bangkok, so you might want to go there for night time Smile
I'm sure someone here knows more good places in Bangkok???

Your trip to Bangkok would be a cultural experience. It’s a thriving modern day city with tourist favorite places like Grand Palace, Temple of the Dawn, Chatuchak Market, Chao Phraya River and Jim Thompson House.

Moreover, mostly peoples prefer to visit between November to March as it is considered to be high season Christmas and New Year time.

Hi Born,
Have you ever been to Bangkok? I haven't had any personal experiences and would like to hear some.
