I need a hotel near the Venice airport

I have just found out that I will have to travel to Venice this weekend, and since I have never been there so far, I really need advice on which hotel to choose. It is important to say that the hotel should be near the airport; that is my only demand.

There are a number of hotels near the airport in Venice, but still, my advice would be not to choose any of them unless you are really in a hurry. Airport is not at all so far away from the center, and there are regular bus connections, so you do not have to worry on how to get there. The whole experience is much better if you stay closer to the canals and the center.

I once stayed at the Titian Inn, which is not exactly a hotel, but is very close to the airport, and thus very convenient if you only need a place to send a night at. But, if you plan to stay in Venice even a day more, my advice is to avoid hotels in this area and choose one somewhere else.
