Is American cuisine any good?

I am sure that there will be people who will find my question hilarious, but I am seriously interested in whether or not American cuisine is of any good. So, if I could get an expert to answer this, I would be more than thankful, since to me, junk food is the main synonym when it comes to American food.

All I can tell you is that something like that depends on one’s taste. I am far from being an expert, but in my case also, the main association for American cuisine is fast food (hamburgers, cheeseburgers…), but to tell the truth, even though I usually eat healthy food, when I am in the USA (which happens occasionally), I really enjoy eating this.

I spent in the USA two whole years, so I guess I can speak about this. So, based on my experience, all I can tell you is that, when it comes to food, if people want to have a decent meal, all of them will go to the Italian, French, Chinese, or any other international restaurant.
