I will be spending my vacation in London the next year. I will be staying in some of the budget accommodations. However, as I am a real adventure seeker, I know I will be using Underground extensively. I would like to hear more of it. Is London Underground safe? Thanks for the information!

The Jubilee line extension is the first line to have platform border doors. These prevent people from falling or jumping onto the tracks. The Underground complex carries around a billion passengers a year. It is a very safe transport system, with just one fatal accident for every 300 million journeys. There are more than a few safety warnings given to passengers, such as the traditional 'mind the gap' announcement and the standard announcements for passengers to keep behind the yellow line.
