Is Taxi in Paris expensive?

Hi,
I am going to Paris next week and I would like to see as much as it is possible… However, I cannot rent a car, because I do not know Paris streets and it would be just waist of time… Therefore, what I was thinking is that I could go by taxi, but I do not know is Taxi in Paris expensive?

I live in Paris and usually I am using a Taxi for city transportation, and metro sometime… I do not think that Taxi is expensive here in Paris. The basic rate is 0.60 EURO per km in a tariff A that are the highest off all… I think that you will save a lot of your money and time by using a Taxi… Have fun!
