Is airport near the centre of Riyadh?

I’m supposed to go to Riyadh as I have some business there. This means that I won’t stick around for long there and I want to know how far the airport is from the centre of the city where my hotel and places that I will visit are. Does anyone know the answer to this question? I would appreciate your answers even if you are not sure.

Hi there pal! I know that airports are almost everywhere some 20 miles or more far from the city. You will admit that it would be inappropriate if airports were in cities. That would cause enormous noise and traffic would collapse. That is why I think that this airport is also some twenty or more miles away from the city. If you are worried about the transportation you can just rent a car or check out to see if there is organized transportation from the airport.

I see no reason why there won’t be some kind of transportation either bus or shuttle. I don’t expect everything to be impeccably organized but on the other hand I still don’t believe that there is no connection between the airport and the city. You should visit airport’s web site and see what options they offer because there might be a possibility to book some kind of transportation. Some airports offer the possibility to book a car which would be waiting for you in front of the airport building when you land.

I admit that I tend to be very judgmental but I really don’t like those countries which are in a way opaque in the sense that you don’t know what you can expect in them when it comes to some regular things like transportation, taxis and so on. Besides it’s enough for me to know that certain countries deprave women of their rights and that very moment I lose desire to visit them. One of such countries is Saudi Arabia. So, I really don’t know what you can expect there.
