Can somebody give me exact information Is fishing allowed for tourist in Otaru? I love to go fishing. And I will be spending 2 weeks in Otaru. So I suppose that it will be enough time for exploring, but also for fishing. I know that my wife would love it. She is really passionate about fishing. So I would like to take her if there is possibility for something like that.

I don’t see why fishing wouldn’t be allowed for tourist in Otaru. I am really very passionate about fishing. And I know that there are many people that have this same kind of passion for this sport. And I think that it would be much better commercial for them if fishing is something that you can get if you go there for vacation. That is my honest opinion about this topic. I actually don’t have experience with this kind of things. I haven’t been to Japan before, but I hope that I will go there sometime soon.

I also don’t think that there is some good reason for them not to allow tourist to fish. I know that they cherish their nature. But I think that they can make a price for some things like fishing is. I really think that it would be great thing to see if there is some sort of official site for this. That way you will be able to find the correct information about this. I don’t know what to tell you more about this topic. I am sure that you will have to pay a lot of money in order to go and do that thing that you like that much.

A famous attraction on the west side of the city is Nishin Goten (herring mansion). This is a large wooden building, built in 1897, that was once the house of a magnate of the herring fishing industry called Fukumatsu Tanaka.
