Is it possible to cross Sahara on foot?

I am an adventurer. I have few like minds who accompany me on my journeys around the world. We like to explore new territories and try things no one has tried before. ”To boldly go where no man has gone before” is our motto. Since we are going to Africa I would like to try something new there. Is it possible to cross Sahara on foot?

Is it possible to fall from 30,000 feet to the ground and stay alive? The answer is yes, but I wouldn’t recommend you to try it. The same goes for your question. Theoretically it is possible but I would strongly advise you against such suicidal attempts. Stick to the usual tourist routes and attractions or hire a local guide if you want to do some exploring but don’t even think about crossing Sahara on foot. If you asked any local guy the same question he would just laugh in your face.
