Kurdistan from Syria

I am thinking about traveling to Kurdistan from Syria. That is something that I wish to do for some time. But I am not sure that something like that is possible. So I really need info about this thing. I would like this thing to be possible. If it is not, which way I could go to Kurdistan? Thank you in advance.

I think that someone tried to go that same route. And that he succeeded to get to Syrian border, but they didnt let him to pass. And when he tried to go back to Iraq, Iraqis didnt allowed him to come back. So he was trapped in no mans land. The embassy succeeded to get him out of that stupid situation. So, because of that story, I think that you cannot go directly to Kurdistan from Syria. You must go from Turkey. At least I think so. You should ask in some travel agency to give you exact info. But if I were you I would go trough Turkey.
