My wife and I are going to have a five-hour layover at the Bangkok airport. I feel very inconvenient about that because, on one hand, we will be bored if we sit in an airport restaurant and wait, and, on the other, I am afraid we won't have time to make some walk through the city. We have never been to Bangkok before and I am afraid that we might get stuck somewhere in the city. What are we supposed to do?

Don't worry about that. The airport staff takes care of its passengers. Bangkok Airport is famous for layover facilities. I do not suggest you go to the city although there is a fast train to the center as far as I remember. You really might get lost. It is a very big city and those who are there for the first time, may find it very hard to orient themselves. Besides, you didn't tell me whether you have a night or a daily layover. All in all, there are some very comfortable sofas where you can stretch your legs and take a nap. But don't forget to wind your watch. There is also a bar and a coffee shop where you can buy yourself a drink.
