Hello, I will be visiting Cape Town for a couple of days time due to some business arrangements. I heard that there are many places in the town periphery and center as well that should be highly avoided by foreigners, especially once who are of a different race than Black. To escape all that fuss and really try to enjoy my stay where should I book a luxury hotel?

Hello, that is a very common problem when visiting Cape Town. I myself had a couple of unwelcoming and troubling incidents where I almost got into a fight. You can always hear at least one story like that from a tourist who visits Cape Town's center and not to mention the Cape Flats. For that reason it would be wise to book a luxury hotel somewhere near Camps Beach where surely you wouldn't feel even near uncomfortable as you would in the peripheries. I would recommend the Twelve Apostles Hotel which is really a luxurious. Theres also the Mount Nelson Hotel my friend stayed in it a couple of years back and he was delighted. Nevertheless you should be aware that even staying in such luxury hotel will not protect you entirely from the downtown conflicts where being an outsider means trouble. If you must go to Cape Town consider staying and relaxing around hotel premises for your own safety.
