Manly Beach, how far from Sydney central?

Are there any people here who have been to Manly Beach? We are going to visit Sydney soon and are definitely planning to spend some time there. I understand that it is not quite in the centre of Sydney though. Could you please tell me how far Manly Beach is from Sydney central?

It will be lovely and warm in Sydney just about now... I'd love to go there myself! When are you off then? And have you decided which hotel you are going to stay at yet? Manly Beach is seven miles away from Sydney, but has got good transport options so you are not going to have any difficulty in getting there.

Hi. The answer has already been given but I do have a tip for you. While you are already in Manly Beach, why don't you go and check out the oceanworld center which has got great fish and other ocean life? And if you want to grab a bite, the Whitewater Restaurant is great for that, and has got nice views as well as nice food.
