I have booked a flight to Peru. IO will be staying there for two weeks. Although there are many famous sites I look forward visiting, there is one place I know very little about. Nazca lines in Peru are, as I heard, one also fantastic sight, and I would like to know a little more about it.

There indeed is so many to be seen in Peru. You are right that Nazca lines are very bewildering. Even scientists are still not sure what exactly they represent. They were drawn centuries ago. Some think they represent landing sites for the aliens, some more serious that these are messages to the gods Nazca believed in. In any case, the curious thing is how did they survive all these hundreds of years untouched by weather, wind, rains, etc. Well, the simple answer is that there are no wind, nor the rains in the desert they were drawn at. In any case, be sure to include it in your tour, as it will be an excellent addition to all the other famous places you will certainly visit.

A flight over Peru will reveal gorgeous landscapes, incredible mountain scenery, and sparkling blue waters. Most people visiting Peru make a stop in Lima, the bustling capital, but only a few of those will dare to leave Lima for a trip into the unknown.

All trips to Peru should include the Nazca Lines, they are not so easy to get to but are really worth the effort. We got down there recently and had a great time. We recommend the Casa Andina Classic hotel in the center of town, as this seemed to be the only good hotel there. Although we had booked a luxury Peru tour with a travel agency, we could have probably done this part on our own. Busses are frequent from Lima, and are not too expensive. Flights for the lines are about $50-$100 per person, based on the season.
