NZ in only 12 days?

Is 12 days enough for a decent visit to NZ? Ive just got here and I planned to stay for a month. But they called me from my company and said that I should be in my office in two weeks. So, my vacation is ruined now and Id like to try to spend those remaining 12 days properly. Ill have to be very quick.

Its not enough, but people usually have two-week vacations and manage to squeeze everything they planned into that period. You should focus on visiting major attractions in New Zealand, and that wont be easy since there are many things to see. You might want to learn something about Maori cultural heritage, and then explore its great biodiversity and see endemic species. I suppose that youll visit Auckland, the countrys capital. Thats the city with great opportunities for fun and leisure, with very rich nightlife. Id also suggest visiting the Southern Alps and South Island. There are many sports activities that you can practice. Maybe you can try to learn sailing, one of the most popular sports here.
