Hello
a couple of friends of mine and I have been making our itinerary for going on a vacation to Philippines in a couple of weeks and we would like to go caving in Sagada. We were wondering do we need a guide for this or not? Thanks a lot in advance for your help. Bye

Hello
I have just got back from Sagada. This place is absolutely wonderful and I would like to recommend to everyone. I don't think that you need any guide for seeing caves there except maybe a map or a company. Of course, be sure that you are going to already explored caves because it can be dangerous to enter unexplored ones without a gas mask or any kind of pre-knowledge about it.

Hi,
some friends of mine and I have stayed in Sagda last summer and we had the best time there. I think that the best way to go see and explore the caves there is to meet some locals who should be very welcoming and prepared to show you around with no charge. On the other hand, there are many local agencies so you can try there if you don't think that the former was a bad idea.

Hi, Im from the Phils and Sagada is one of the best places to go caving. I believe guides are now required when going inside caves due to safety and religious reasons. the guide fee is relatively cheap plus they are a real good source of information in the area. Look for the Sagada Environmental Guides Association. They would be more that happy to help.
