New Dubai car hire regulations

Hi! Me and my wife are planning to visit Dubai for winter, and since Im experienced driver I just want to be sure not to mess up with those new car hire regulations. Can you tell me what can I expect and is it maybe better for us just to hire a taxi. Any information will be great help to me. Thanks a lot.

Hi! I believe those new car hire regulations are mainly concerning taxi drivers. But if you want to rent-a-car remember to bring your International Driving Permit, now it is required for driving through Dubai. But another good ideas are to rent-a-car with driver or to use bus, public transportation is very good in the city.
