Phuket Hotel: Chedi or Amanpuri?

Hi, I need help urgently! I am traveling with my family to Phuket (Thailand) and although we have already decided to stay at the Pansea beach, we just cannot decide which hotel to choose Chiedi or Amanpuri? Ive read that Chedi has a great amount of stairs, but if we get the beach suit we could avoid the stairs, but then on the other hand its too expensiveseems like the prices get same as in pavilions in Amanpuri! But then again, does hotel Amanpuri has got the stairs, too? Help!

Villas at the Amanpuri have got less stairs, thats right, but they are much more expensive. For the bungalows at the Chedi there are quite a stairs there, but thats why you get so great view of the beach. Maybe finding another accommodation in this place would be the best solution (try searching for website Phuket Gold Coast and getting some info on the area around both resorts).
