Phuket, Thailand

Hi. I have heard so many lovely stories about the Thai restort of Phuket. I have heard it is great fun. There are many clubs are bars and the beach is fantastic. Is this true? Who of you has been there and can give me some first hand information? Perhaps you can give some tips on what exactly is there to do out there. And could you please recommend some hotel or something? Thank you in advance for your tips and help.

Phuket is actually a province of Thailand... not just a resort as many people think. The most known resort in Phuket is Phatong Beach, which is truly magical. I have been there, but some years ago, before the Tsunami took place. I have heard that the rebuilding went well and the place is once again full of tourists. Kata and Kata Noi beaches are also well worth seeing. If you do go there, I wish you all the best and a lot of fun!
